Morgan State University will remain closed Tuesday, Jan. 27, due to ongoing weather-related conditions following a recent winter storm, university officials announced.

The closure extends a campus shutdown that began Saturday and was previously scheduled to end Monday.

In a campus-wide email to students, faculty, and staff, officials said all classes, events, and activities scheduled for Tuesday are canceled. Dining services will continue to operate on a brunch schedule, and employees designated as essential are expected to report to work as directed by their supervisors.

University officials said they will continue to monitor weather and campus conditions and provide updates regarding a potential reopening on Wednesday.

Members of the campus community were urged to remain cautious as extreme weather conditions persist across the region.
