The Department of Communications recognized its students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher during the Fall Semster. The students received a certificate followed by a private luncheon with department chairman DeWayne Wickham and faculty.
Courtney Jacobs, a graduating Seniors is happy about this event. “I work hard, I go to class everyday, try to be on time, but I get the work done.”
Since his arrival DeWayne Wickham has established a new standard for communications. Wickham states, ” We celebrate excellence here, this is a program that needs to reflect the energy of our faculty and the commitment of our students.
Students who earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher in the Communications Department will now see there names in the “wall of fame.” Wickham expressed, “It is really important to me that when students do well, we recognize the fine work they produced.”
