The MSUSpokesman 2020 Voter Registration Guide

Everything you need to know when voting in Baltimore City this year

Brianna Taylor, Managing Editor

Tuesday marks the deadline to register to vote in the general election and The MSUSpokesman wants to make sure that every member of the community fulfills their civic duty. Unlike tradition, the results of this year’s presidential election may not be declared on Nov. 3. The coronavirus has reshaped the way Americans will be able to vote safely, which includes mail-in-ballots. To prepare for the election, we wanted to simplify the registration process and your voting options because let’s be honest, it has all gotten pretty confusing. Detailed below is a Baltimore City voter registration guide. Print it out, bookmark it and share it with your friends and family because your vote counts this year more than ever.

In-person voting will take place on Nov. 3. Centers will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Voters in line by closing time will be able to vote. A voter may also register or update their address and complete a provisional ballot. A provisional ballot allows someone who thinks he or she is an eligible voter to vote, but who is not in the electronic poll book.
