Two students from Morgan State’s School of Global Journalism and Communication, and Professor Jackie Jones, chair of the Multimedia Journalism department, are visiting Greece this week as a part of a partnership with Penn State University’s College of Communications.
The students, Spokesman photo editor Arius Bevins and Spokesman contributor Synclaire Cruel, are enrolled in Jones’ International Reporting and Writing class.
While in Greece, Cruel and Bevins are studying issues and making source contacts in advance, while gaining practical experience reporting on the ground.
This year’s trip to Greece examines various aspects resulting from the economic and refugee crisis there. The Spokesman will feature postcards from Bevins and Cruel during their stay.
