As Morgan State students prepare for the Homecoming Concert tonight, there has been a major change of plans. Houston artist Travis Scott removed himself last night, and the Umoja Council managed to abruptly replace him with chart-topping rapper Rick Ross.

The Umoja Council released a statement this morning instructing students of the mishap and apologizing for the sudden change. This was followed by backlash from students – prompting the council to release a series of tweets vaguely explaining the situation.

The university is offering refunds at the USC box office for those who wanted Travis Scott.

For those who are interested in purchasing tickets, you can purchase at the box office or online at

Day of tickets are now $40 for students and $45 for non-students, identification is required at the door.
