Morgan State University will keep its physical campus closed through the end of the week as recovery efforts continue following a winter storm, university officials announced.

The closure, which runs from Wednesday through Friday, means in-person classes, events and activities will not resume during that period. Academic instruction will continue remotely, with students advised to monitor Canvas and university communications for course updates.

The University announcement says operations will continue with modified work arrangements. Employees are expected to telework when possible, while essential personnel are required to report as directed. Dining services will remain open on a limited brunch schedule.

BEARtransit on-campus and off-campus residential transportation will not operate Wednesday through Friday, as the Commons Parking Garage will remain closed.

Regular BEARtransit services will resume Saturday, with full transportation operations and the reopening of the Commons Parking Garage expected Monday, Feb. 2.

Officials said the decision was made to allow additional time to restore campus accessibility, including transportation and auxiliary services, while prioritizing safety amid lingering weather conditions.
