The University Student Center Food Court known popularly as “The Canteen” is now closed for the rest of the semester as preparations for construction of the addition of Chick-Fil-A are underway.
Students were advised in an email sent through MSU Announcements to use the other dining facilities like the Rawlings Residential Dining Hall, BrB Food Truck and the Subway restaurant located in the lower level of the McKeldin Center.
Rawlings Dining Hall will extend hours of operation from 7:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. (also open on Saturday & Sunday). While the BrB Food Truck will temporarily relocate from the north side of campus to the area between the USC and Hill Field House, bringing the hours to 11:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
The email adds that new food stations and upgrades will follow with the new Chick-Fil-A after the holidays.
The USC Food Court will be closed from Monday, Nov. 23 until mid-January.
Students are reminded that Rawlings Dining Hall, Brb Food Truck and the Subway restaurant will be operating on a holiday schedule for the Thanksgiving break.
