Baltimore, MD– A student is set to speak at a rally held today at Morgan State University.
The rally is set to take place at 11:00 a.m. November 25, 2014 at the University Student Center.
The event was organized for Morgan students to peacefully protest the grand jury decision made in Ferguson, MO, not to indict Officer Darren Wilson for the shooting of unarmed teen Michael Brown.
A speaker for the rally, Chinedu Nwokeafor a 22-year-old junior said “ The purpose is to actually make demands to the northeast police station here in Baltimore. Just to not only show solidarity as black people but to also stand up for what’s going on in our town.”
The rally happening today is a continuation of a gathering of students that met last night following the decision announced in Ferguson, MO.
