Morgan State University has now extended BEARtransit, the campus’ shuttle bus service, to Kensington Gate Apartments.

BEARtransit is Morgan State’s transportation program that provides rides for students, faculty and staff.

Riders can track the status of bus arrivals by a map through the TransLoc app, which is available for both iPhone and Android systems.

Morgan announced the first week through an alert that there was a new stop for the shuttle, but tracking will not be available until, “the current GPS service provider is able to program the new location.”

In the meantime, the shuttle buses are looping around to the apartments about every 30 minutes to provide off campus service to commuters.

This is one of Morgan’s initiatives to ensure the safety of its students both on and off campus.

Another resource for students is the Baltimore Collegetown shuttle, a “free service to students, faculty, and staff who are a part of the schools in the Baltimore region.”

The only requirement is to show a university ID to board the bus.

The Collegetown shuttle can also be tracked online and through the TransLoc app.
