A Morgan State University student was the victim of an off campus armed robbery Wednesday afternoon.
The victim was walking on Hartsdale Road when he was approached by two men. One of the suspects flashed a gun and demanded his belongings. They fled the scene in a vehicle on Hartsdale Road towards Loch Raven Boulevard.
Although a Morgan State University Police Department email categorized the robbery as taking place off campus, five police cars from MSUPD and Baltimore City police were in front of the School of Global Journalism and Communication center across Perring Parkway from the robbery scene on Hartsdale Road.
According to MSUPD, the first suspect was a black male, late teen to early twenties, heavy set, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall and was wearing a black mask and a skull cap. The second suspect is a black male, late teen to early twenties, medium build, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall and was wearing black face mask and black hoodie. They both fled the scene in a black Nissan.
This incident is currently under investigation by the Baltimore Police Department, because it occurred off campus. This has been the third off campus armed robbery this month.
Police didn’t release the name of the victim and were not available for further comment Wednesday night.
