One Morgan student shot during Homecoming festivities
An 18-year-old Morgan State student was shot and injured last night near the Montebello Complex.

As Morganites returned to campus for the first homecoming in two years, a shooting occurred near the Montebello Complex.
The victim is an 18-year-old student at Morgan State University.
The Baltimore Police Department arrived at the 2300 block of Argonne Avenue at approximately 6:39 p.m where the victim was found with a gunshot wound in his chest.
The Morgan student is reportedly stable with no life-threatening injuries, according to the Office of Public Relations and Communications.
Following the shooting, the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Shooting detectives in the Northeast District of the Baltimore Police Department are currently investigating Saturday’s shooting.
“At this time the investigation is active and ongoing, and we do not have any updates outside of what was provided yesterday evening,” said Lindsey Eldridge, director of public affairs and community outreach at the Baltimore Police Department.
